- There's a variety of Call-to-Action methods you can use to invite customers to participate in your text survey: business cards, signage, receipts, bills or invoices, table tents, and so forth. Whichever method you choose, RateNow will provide the materials to make it happen. You pick the method, and we do the rest.
- Most often, you'll offer customers an incentive to take the survey. RateNow encourages using these incentives to stimulate participation and to drive future business - for example, 10% off the customer's next visit within two weeks. The incentives can be anything from drawings to discounts to free products or services. You determine the incentive that will work best for your business.
Step 2: Customers opt-in and participate in your survey.

- When you create your survey, your company is automatically assigned its own 10-digit local telephone number for customers to use for the survey. This number is printed on whatever Call-to-Action method you use, and that’s the number customers use to opt-in to participate in the survey. Clients with multiple locations are assigned a number for each location.
- As soon as your customer opts-in, the RateNow automated system sends an introductory text to the customer with the instructions and information you entered as Intro Text when you created the survey.
- Immediately after receiving the introductory text, your customer receives another text with the first question you created in your survey.
- As soon as your customer responds to the first question, the second question is sent. This text conversation continues until the response to the last question is received from your customer.
- Immediately after the last question response is received, RateNow sends your customer a final text, which is the message you entered in the Final Text and Incentive field when you created the survey. This final text typically includes a thank you for participation, a confirmation of the incentive offer, and any instructions your customer needs to redeem the incentive.
- Please note that no customer data is stored in the system when customers opt-in to participate in your text survey, so their information is protected and can’t be used for further contact or marketing purposes.
Step 3: Customer responses to your survey are uploaded immediately to the RateNow website.
